The 2100Plus Chemical Oxygen Demand (CODCr) Water Quality Online Analyzer is designed for online monitoring of chemical oxygen demand (CODCr) in various water sources, including surface water, industrial wastewater, and municipal sewage.

Detection Principles

A known amount of potassium dichromate solution is added to the sample. In a strong acid medium, with silver sulfate as a catalyst, after high-temperature digestion, the increase in absorbance of trivalent chromium ions in the sample is directly proportional to the Chemical Oxygen Demand (CODCr). The absorbance is measured at a specific wavelength to quantify the CODCr.
